![]() ![]() WoWP however, it's physics just aren't there yet, it will never compete with the "novelty" of air rb.Īnother point is that the BR compression in War Thunder actually crushed my soul once I hit jets and thermals. If WoT didn't have arty it would be bigger than WT. Gaijin is a truly scummy company that do not have your interests at heart, War Gaming has showing to bend to their customers a bit more and notice that giving more goes a long way (ie wot BP, free prem all the time, insane amounts of free xp and x5 in WoT, thousands of missions, permanent campaigns, etc). I don't have many games in WoWP but I have a lot in WoT and WT. They stay much more true to actual game design whereas war thunder is truly just built as a sandbox of irritation to cause you to spend to progress. But WoWP, WoT, WoWS are better "video games". War Thunder is truly a terrible game that I need to play sometimes because of the physics. I have thousands of games (jets in multiple nations) in War Thunder and I dip into WoWP every now and then. Gaijin's actions towards the Japanese Tech tree in WT soured me on the game especially when they just kept adding every wunderwaffe a fan boy could find.Ītleast with WoWP I know the devs are incompetent borderline non-existent and what I'll get from the game each patch, not having my planes all of a sudden turn to glass. I will say the BR system is complete horse crap especially when it came to Japanese planes, we had a movement of ramming for a fair BR because Gaijin refused to listen to reason to no avail, we pointed out how the trees could be fairly and and legitimately expanded without a mass of concept planes to deaf ears. Played both, been through the good and bad in both, but when it came down to it, WoWP is a game you can just sit down, relax & play, you don't have to worry about your plane unrealistically breaking apart due to a single 20mm or 30mm cannon round like you do in WT and I'm sorry too many times have the bombers turned to complete Glass in WT where if you even look at them funny there goes their wing or tail section despite historically being some of the toughest planes ever made.Īlso as a former member of the Shinten Sekutai in WT. You can get in a plane in a tank/naval battle! Wow! The insane amount of gameplay styles and opportunities is what makes me wanna go back. The massive positive side of WT is of course the realism. You know exactly how much plane/pilot/gunner/free XP you’ve got on what plane and the reason behind it. Why? Why does it have to be so overly complicated? That’s where WoWP strikes. You get some points for some reason or you don’t get them for some other reason to be spent on some upgrades on a plane you didn’t fly. ![]() The pilot/gunner/whatever else they managed to put in those planes skills seems like a mediocre copy/paste idea done badly. You cant really play the planes you unlock until you unlock lots of them in the tier range. ![]() The playability of the game is further reduced by a nonsensical tier/class ratings of your machinery. I quit playing WT because of the quite strange ultragrindlike play and you get only one respawn per plane, unless you pay. WT is mostly about realism while WoWP is focused on microtactics and arcade play (you don’t actually need to hit a player to damage him). WT and WoWP are two very different games. I have played WT for some time, might return to it someday.
